About the app
I made Chixdox as a quiet record, not a guide. After the latch clicks shut, you can mark four places: who took the high roost, who reached the grain first, who yielded the dust bowl, and who led the yard walk. A gate scene can sit beside that — cut off at the gate, paused at the water dish, the sunny strip, or hung back at the latch.
Saved evenings stack into a flock ladder, yield pairs, and a rolling week ribbon. A new hen or a marked molt week can change how that order looks. Chixdox does not give health, breeding, feeding, or husbandry advice, and it does not diagnose or treat. It stores the roles you choose to write down.
The app is portrait on iPhone. Sound clicks, a yard name, roster order, and a slip reminder live in Perchdesk. You can replay the short primer or clear the slate. There is no account.

Privacy
This policy is published by Roberto Ricci for the iPhone app Chixdox. If you have a question, write to [email protected].
What you write stays on the iPhone
Hen cards, evening slips, the flock ladder, yield pairs, gate scenes, the yard name, and the switches in Perchdesk are stored on the device. I do not receive that notebook, I do not run an account system for it, and I do not sell it. Clearing the slate removes hens, slips, the ladder, pairs, and scraps. Deleting the app removes what is left on the device.
Notifications
Chixdox may ask permission to send notices. If you allow them, the app uses the OneSignal notification service so a message can reach this iPhone. That service may receive a push token, a device identifier created for notices, device model, operating-system version, language, time zone, and IP address. Those requests may pass through the host omesignal.com. Your hen cards, slips, ladder, pairs, gate scenes, and yard name are not included.
If you decline notices, or turn them off later in iOS Settings, the notebook still works.
Analytics: the device identifier
For my own app analytics — counting installs and understanding how many devices open Chixdox — the app collects one thing: a device identifier. Nothing else from the notebook is used for analytics. Your hen cards, slips, ladder, pairs, gate scenes, and yard name are never part of it.
This identifier is created by the AppsFlyer SDK for this installation of the app. iOS may also show a tracking prompt. Only if you tap “Allow” is the device’s advertising identifier (IDFA) added; if you choose “Ask App Not to Track”, it is not read or shared. You can change this at any time in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking. The analytics data is used only by me for Chixdox and is not sold.
Third-party SDKs
Chixdox includes exactly two third-party SDKs:
No other analytics, advertising, or tracking SDKs are built into the app.
Camera
Chixdox may ask for access to the camera, and only the camera, when you choose an action that needs it. iOS asks you first; nothing happens without your permission, and the app works without it. Camera access is never used for analytics. You can turn it off at any time in iOS Settings → Chixdox.
